Tiger Wrestler Jared Brooks Is State Runner-Up!

IHSAA WRESTLING STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Warsaw's Jarred Brooks finished as the state runner-up in the 112 lb. weight class on Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse. Brooks, the 2011 champion at the sectional, regional and semi-state, began his state championship quest on Friday night with a 17-8 win over Kyle Jolas of Huntington North. In Saturday morning's quarterfinals, he won by decision over Dominique Price of Indianapolis Tech 1-0 on an escape in the second period. In the semi-finals he defeated defending state champion Cody Phillips of Union County 5-2 to advance to the state championship match. In the final he fell to undefeated Mason Todd of Pendleton Heights 3-0.

Brooks finishes his junior season at 30-2 and attained his second straight podium finish at the state finals.
