Lady Tigers Volleyball Falls to No. 2-Ranked Penn

OSCEOLA - The 17th-ranked Warsaw Tigers volleyball team have had some big victories and narrow defeats this year while earning their state ranking, and the Tigers traveled to face No. 2 ranked Penn on Monday night in another showdown against a state powerhouse. The Tigers, hoping to cap it's dual meet season with a big statement victory on the road, fell to the host Kingsmen 25-16, 25-13 and 25-17.
Warsaw, falling to 24-7, will now regroup and enter the post-season with a new focus. The Tigers will meet Goshen in the first round of the Goshen sectional on Thursday night, October 20th. Elkhart Memorial and Northridge will square off in the first of two games on Thursday. The two winners will meet in the first of two semifinal games on aSaturday morning. Elkhart Central and Concord received a bye and both are in the semifinal match.
The Tigers JV team fell to Penn on Monday. The Kingsmen captured a 25-15, 25-13 victory. The JV will finish their season this Saturday in the JV NLC championships.
