Bremen, Indiana - IHSAA Track & Field Regional
In a highly competitive meet, the Lady Tigers won one event and qualified two individuals to the State Meet in Bloomington next Saturday, June 4. Winning the 4x800m was the team composed of Brooke Kline, Hannah Cutshall, Anna Bearss and Ashley Erba in a winning time of 9:34.40, a season's best effort. Individually, Lauren Burish threw a personal best 119-9 in the discus to finish second and qualify for her first State Meet. Finally, Ashley Erba finished 3rd in the 1600m (5:12.82) to earn a berth in the State Meet.
Other regional finalists for Warsaw included:
Ann Harvuot- 100m (4th) 12.88
Leah Moore- 400m (6th) 1:01.02
Hannah Kammerer- Pole Vault (6th) 9-6
4x400 (Kristin Quick, Kelly Wildman, Madi Long, Leah Moore) (6th) 4:05.55
Anna Bearss- 800m (7th) 2:25.99
Jackie Ferguson- 300H (7th) 48.54
Claire Hickerson- Pole Vault (8th) 9-0
Emily Umbaugh- Shot Put (8th) 35-4
Warsaw scored points in 11 of the 12 events they qualified for and finished 4th behind SB Adams, SB St. Josephs and Penn.
Tuesday night was also the final high school performances for standout seniors Emily Umbaugh, Madi Long, Hanna Kammerer and Leah Moore who were instrumental in winning 37 dual meet victories, 4 NLC Championships, 4 Sectional Championships, 3 Kokomo Relays Championships and 1 Churubusco Championship in their four years.
