NorthWood’s boys tennis team celebrated their Senior Night with a 4-1 win over Northern Lakes Conference rival Warsaw Thursday.

West Troyer put away Caleb Williams, 6-1, 6-0 at 1 singles, and Ben Vincent downed Reuben Williams, 6-3, 6-1 at 2 singles. Landon Holland clinched a three-setter over Brian Elliott at 3 singles, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, and Trajan Schwartz and Jack Wysong trumped Spencer Britton and Nolan Knight at 1 doubles, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The Tigers 2 doubs tandem of Jarett Orr and Michael Ray prevented the sweep with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Grant Topping and Dawson Bley at 2 doubles.

NorthWood’s JV also topped their Warsaw counterparts, 8-4.

The varsity Panthers improved to 8-4 overall and an even 3-3 in NLC play.

NorthWood travels to Wawasee Monday, when Warsaw travels to Concord.

Wawasee’s singles lineup swept host Elkhart Memorial at all three singles positions, and the Warriors celebrated their first Northern Lakes Conference win Thursday night.

Zach Leedy beat Chris Troyer 6-1, 6-0, Graham Perek topped Luke Leazenby 6-3, 7-5, and Collin Rhodes beat Jesus Hernandez 6-4, 6-3 moving from his usual spot in the lineup at 1 doubles to 3 singles.

Jacob Krugman and Grant Brooks fell short in three sets to Mike Troyer and Brandon Bailey at 1 doubs, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, and Clayton Firestone and Zeke Keim came up on the wrong end of another three-setter at 2 doubs, 6-0, 0-6, 7-3, to Zach Olena and Garrett Culp.

Wawasee’s JV fell 4-1. The JV’s lone win came at 1 doubles, where Blaine Baut and Devon Kuhn topped Jared Tice and Kameron Kast, 8-2.

The varsity Warriors improved to 6-9 overall and 1-5 in the NLC.

Triton collected a 4-1 Hoosier North Athletic Conference win over North Judson-San Pierre on the road Thursday.

John Gardner beat Gavin Alonso at 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4, Connor Large earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Caleab Shireman at 3 singles, Carter Kuntz and Chase Butler were 6-0, 6-1 winners over Blake Shell and Kyle Burkett at 1 doubles, and Tyler Heckaman and Grant Eib defeated Gavin Legac and Drew Attinger, 6-2, 6-0 at 2 doubles as the Trojans swept the home-and-away series with the Bluejays.

Judson’s Hayden Kaminski beat Jared Bules, 7-6(3), 6-3 at 2 singles.

Triton’s JV also got the win, 2-0.

Triton’s varsity moved to 6-9 overall and 4-2 in the HNAC. The Trojans play at the Portage Invitational Saturday.
