DUNLAP – While Wawasee didn’t win an individual event to garner automatic status to the All-Northern Lakes Conference swim list, four swimmers earned enough respect from the voters to land on the All-NLC list, issued late Sunday.

The quartet of Alexis Mishler, Cammy Kryder, Lily Tyler and Hayden Neer all earned All-NLC nods, joining a slew of Northridge and Concord swimmers at the top of the list. Wawasee finished 3-4 and fifth in the NLC standings.

Automatic qualifiers after winning championships included five from Northridge, which won the team title after posting a 486 to edge Concord’s 480 after Saturday’s championship meet. Northridge (7-0) had Syd Nethercutt, Jiselle Miller, Kaitlin Simons, Hailey Clark and Anna Yeater earn All-NLC. Also making All-NLC for the Raiders Americus Ingling, Alaina Yeater and Makena Mount.

Concord (6-1) had Ella Lantz, Tori Posthauer, Sophia Stutsman, Madison Weaver, Grace Brenneman, Audrey Lantz, Bella Sponseller and Kiran Stauffer. Head coach Tom Johnson was named the NLC Coach of the Year.

Goshen (4-3, fourth place) had Sam Hunter make All-NLC.

Honorable Mentions went to one each of the eight member schools, given to Clare Ritchie of Northridge, Cate Stauffer of Concord, Marissa Howett of Warsaw (5-2, third), Norah George-Miller of Goshen, Rileigh Atwood of Wawasee, Marley Houin of Plymouth (2-5, sixth), Ale Biasini of Mishawaka (1-6, seventh), and Reagan Koble of NorthWood (0-7, eighth).
