Dayle Harvey and the Warsaw girls soccer team will have to wait to get a crack at Noblesville again as its regular season dual is cancelled. The Lady Tigers will play at Fishers instead this Saturday. (File photo by Mike Deak)

WARSAW – Several notes coming out of the Warsaw Community High School athletic office involving upcoming games and objectives.

“Noblesville, they are tough but we want to beat them, we want to get them so good.”

Those words were echoed by Warsaw girls soccer senior captain Dayle Harvey in the preseason about the matchup Warsaw had with Noblesville scheduled for Sept. 8. The Millers, which knocked Warsaw out of the state tournament in last year’s regional final, are unable to host Warsaw this weekend. In it’s place, Harvey and company will instead travel to Fishers for a contest this Saturday. The JV contest will begin at 1 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

The Warsaw volleyball program will be holding a Give Back Night on Tuesday, Sept. 11. The fundraiser will coincide with Warsaw’s home matches with Columbia City.

The outreach will benefit the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County. Donations and financial contributions will both be gladly accepted.

Warsaw will also introduce its elementary volleyball teams ahead of the Columbia City matches.

The Warsaw football team is selling ‘This is BARTBALL’ T-shirts to raise money for the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack. The form is attached here. These shirts can be ordered online at https://goo.gl/forms/oEZUhGHqy1oNclUv2, printed and dropped off at Edgewood or WCHS, or there will be a table at the Edgewood v. Lakeview Middle School football game at WCHS today or at Friday’s home varsity game against Elkhart Memorial.

Orders and payments must be received by Sept. 11.
