Lady Tigers Soccer Team Blanks Lady Pilgrims
WARSAW - The lady Tigers captured their Northern Lakes Conference opener with a 1-0 victory over visiting Plymouth. The lady Tigers dominated the midfield and kept the pressure on Plymouth throughout a majority of the contest. Erica Gauger took a nifty pass from Hanna Cutshall and blasted a shot past the Rockies keeper into the back of the net in the 38th minute.
After a 52-minute lightning delay, the two teams battled to a scoreless second half with keeper Abby Schue picking up two of her six saves to preserve the shutout. The Tigers managed 11 shots on goal.
Danielle Hutcherson scored the lone Warsaw goal in a 2-1 junior varsity defeat to Plymouth.
