WARSAW - Senior defender Caitlin Johnson, instrumental in this fall's school-record shutout season, signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Huntington College and coach Ryan Burgher.

Johnson not only stood out with impressive performances on the soccer field as a four-year starter for coach Dan Miller, she also fared exceptionally well in the classroom, earning an 11.27 GPA while enrolled in numerous advanced placement, honors, and dual credit courses.

With Johnson providing a solid anchor on defense, the Tigers set a school record for most shutouts in a season this past year with 13. The Tigers also captured the last two sectional titles.

The daughter of Dave and Charlene Johnson, she intends to major in Exercise Science.
