NORTHWOOD 2, JOHN GLENN 2

NorthWood had its first hiccup outside of the NLC, tying John Glenn at home.

After winning its first four non-conference games by a combined 15-0 aggregate, John Glenn put two goals in the net in the first half and made the Panthers work for the point.

Morgan Stickley had both goals for NorthWood, one coming in each half. Kira Robinson, who has been sensational all season, stopped six of eight shots.

NorthWood (4-3-1) will take on Elkhart Memorial Tuesday.

WARSAW 2, CONCORD 0

Warsaw remained at the top of the heap in the Northern Lakes Conference race with a big win Thursday at Concord.

Delaney Taylor and Corissa Koontz had the goals for the Tigers, Taylor scoring off an assist from Brenna Buhrt and Koontz getting the rebound off a Anna Grill free kick that was mishandled.

Warsaw’s defense again rose to the occasion, the back line of Grill, Amanda West, Olivia Herman and Dayle Harvey, along with keeper Kaylee Patton, collecting its seventh shutout of the season and the fifth in the NLC.

Warsaw, at 5-0 in the NLC, is a plus-13 in NLC play and has just Wawasee and Northridge left on the schedule. The defending champion Raiders are 2-0 in the NLC, with Concord awaiting on Tuesday.

Warsaw (8-2, 5-0 NLC) will head to Fishers for a game Saturday in a replacement fixture for Noblesville, which had to cancel the regional finals rematch.
