PLYMOUTH - The Tiger girls soccer team captured their second straight sectional game with a penalty kick advantage, giving coach Dan Miller¹s squad the sectional championship with a 1-0 victory over NorthWood, Saturday night at Plymouth.

Keeper Abby Schue was once again dominant in front of the net. Schue, like she did in the semifinal PK victory over Plymouth, turned back three NorthWood shots, the last ensuring the Tigers a sectional crown.

Emily Williamson, Brooklyn Jackson, and Gabby Monroy's PK shots were good, and the last Schue stop gave the Tigers the victory.

The match was even statistically and on the scoreboard after the teams battled scoreless for 80 minutes of regulation and 14 minutes of overtime. Both teams ended with five shots on goal and NorthWood held a 4-3 corner kick advantage. The Tigers improve to 13-2-2 heading into Wednesday's regional matchup against St. Joseph's (15-3) in South Bend.
