Rugby Indiana Division 1 Girls
Thursday March 24th
Warsaw Nil - Penn 54
The Warsaw girls opened up their season last night at the CCAC against local rivals Penn.
Despite the lopsided looking score line the Warsaw girls played well.
"Penn capitalized on our mistakes and inexperience", said head coach Trevor Cracknell.
"Penn has a number of outstanding experienced players in particular Abby Ritter (senior) who had a very good game against us. We are a very young side and that showed last night, however, we have a lot of potential and the girls played hard all throughout the game. We still have a lot of learning to do both individually and as a team and that comes with hard work and playing games."
"Shelby Creekmore (freshman) Kylee Plank (freshman) and Allyson Walls (freshman) played especially well last night".
Warsaw's next game is at the CCAC Sunday March 27th against Southbend start time 1:00 PM.
