Lady Tiger Rugby - Division 1
Saturday, April 23rd, 2011
Warsaw, Indiana

Carmel 35 Warsaw 5

The Warsaw girls played well despite the score line.

"It was a little like David and Goliath out there on Saturday", said coach Trevor Cracknell.

"Unfortunately this time Goliath won. The Carmel team were physically much larger than the Warsaw players and they used this to their advantage. However, our girls never stopped tackling and came back on several occasions. Brooke Netherland (Junior) had our only score mid-way through the first half with the score at the half 25 to 5 to Carmel. We held them for most of the second half. Shelby Creekmore (Freshman) came nearest to scoring midway through the second half. The girls worked hard all game and deserved more scores but we just kept making mistakes at the critical time. Sidney Hernadez (8th Grade Lakeview) was outstanding, making big tackles and running hard with the ball".

Warsaw's next game is 5:00 PM Thursday April 28th at home at the CCAC.
