Warsaw area rugby is looking for local 7th and 8th grade students to form girls and boys rugby teams for a spring season. Warsaw rugby has been a high school club sport since 2003. "We are seeing more and more high school students join our program each year," said coach Trevor Cracknell. "Like any sport, the younger a player starts to play the better he or she will become. I have been given permission to recruit in both of the Warsaw school district middle schools, but we will welcome students from other school districts. We are an all inclusive sport. Any player that comes to enough practices to be safe and understand the game gets to play. We don't have cuts or tryouts. The great thing about rugby is that no matter how small, large or athletic you are, there is a position for you on a rugby team. The most important thing to me is that the players are safe and have fun."

They are having a parents informational meeting on Tuesday January 24th at 7:30 PM in the commons at Edgewood middle school.
