WARSAW OUTDOES ITSELF, OTHERS ON EQUIPMENT

PLYMOUTH – In what amounted to a mini-meet Wednesday, Warsaw posted its best score of the gymnastics season with a 103.20 to lead a field of six teams at Plymouth.

Logansport (101.85) and Plymouth (96.0) were involved in the team trio while individuals from Bremen, South Central (Union Mills) and John Glenn also competed.

Remi Beckham again led the Tigers with the meet’s top beam score of 9.2 and added an 8.7 on bars, good for second in the meet, and the second-best all-around score of 35.5. Beckham also posted an 8.6 on vault and 9.0 on floor, both fourth place.

Anna Wainscott scored 8.85 to tie for third on beam and Daylen Turner turned in an 8.65 on beam and 8.85 on floor. Turner capped the night by posting 33.85 in all-around, fourth-best for the evening. Adree Beckham chipped in scores of 8.65 on floor and 32.85 in all-around.

South Central’s Makenna King led the field on vault at 9.5 and bars at 8.75, Plymouth’s Kyla Heckaman had the top floor score at 9.25, and Logansport’s Kendal Wilkinson topped the all-around scoring at 35.85.

Warsaw is in action next Tuesday at Lakeland.
