Warsaw opened its season with a bare minimum, and still nearly beat East Noble at its home facility in downtown Warsaw.
Competing with just three athletes, Warsaw had Daylen Turner perform in the top three in all four events and Sydni Purvis place in each event. Turner opened the season with a win on vault at 8.7, with Purvis second at 8.5 and teammate Erika Bugg third at 8.3 for the clean sweep. Turner would go on to finish second on bars (7.4), third on beam (7.1) and third on floor (8.85), compiling a 32.05 all-around figure.
Purvis was third on bars (7.3), sixth on beam (6.95) and fifth on floor (8.15) for a 30.9 all-around tally.
Bugg was fourth on bars (6.6) and scored 5.7 on beam and 7.7 on floor.
Miah Hudson led the Knights with first place scores in all four events, tying Turner on vault, adding 8.0 on bars, 8.5 on beam and 9.15 on floor, leading the meet with a 34.35 all-around.
Jenna Zabona was second on beam (7.3) and floor (8.875).

Angola continued to show well as a tournament contender, posting a big win Tuesday at Wawasee.
Ashtyn Evans hung some big scores, throwing a 9.4 on vault, 9.35 on bars and 9.55 on floor, all top scores, and a 9.05 on beam for second. Her 37.35 in all-around was a full three points clear of runner-up teammate Audrey Wilkinson and four points clear of Aundreya Wegener of Wawasee.
Wilkinson added an 8.55 on bars and 8.55 on floor to compliment the Hornet attack.
Wegener had a 9.15 to finish first on beam and 9.25 on floor for second among her work. Emma Ebright added an 8.4 on floor for fourth place in the meet.
