His 137 for both rounds in the state finals was the third lowest score in the history of the tournament.
A Future World Collegiate Tour Academic All-American, the Tigers senior has three top-five finishes at major tournaments, including the medalist achievement at the Future World Collegiate Tour held at Purdue. He was also 7th at the 2011 Indiana Open. Not only is Tyler good with coming up with impressive numbers on the golf course, his skills were evident with numbers in the classroom as he earned a 10th place finish in Accounting at last year's National BPA competition in Washington, DC.
Ostrom will enter his senior year having already won medalist honors in the sectional, twice at regional, and once at state. He was also the Northern Lakes Conference tournament medalist twice, and he finished his junior year with a season average of 74.
