WARSAW GOLF: TIGERS EIGHTH IN JEFF EVENT

LAFAYETTE – The Warsaw boys golf team wrapped up regular-season play Saturday.

The Tigers finished in eighth place in the Lafayette Jefferson Classic held at the Battleground Golf Club.

Warsaw shot 321 in the 20-team field. No. 2 Carmel won the team title with a 296 with No. 3 Zionsville as runner-up with a 297.

Junior Chase Byron led the way for Warsaw with a round of 78.

Sam Yeager fired a 79 for the Tigers. Luke Delp and Jacob LaLonde each shot an 82 and Tommy Meier finished with an 86.

Yianna Kortrourous of Crown Point was medalist with a one-under 71.

Warsaw will play host to sectional action on Friday at Rozella Ford.
