Tiger Golfers Dominate Regional Championships, Head To State Finals On A Mission

THURSDAY, JUNE 10

The Tiger golf team captured the IHSAA Regional title ta Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne on Thursday.

Shooting a team score of 305 they outdistanced Bishop Dwenger and Triton to win the championship. Sophomore Tyler Ostrom tied for the best score of the day by firing an 18-hole score of 72. He fell in a playoff for medalist, but continues to be one of the state's best young golfers.

Next for Warsaw was the freshman duo of Tim Ahlersmeyer (76) and Jon Schram (78). Junior Eric Tandy carded a 79 while Senior Kal Denlinger recorded an 87 for the Tigers.

The #6 ranked Tigers move on to the state finals next Tuesday and Wednesday at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin.
