WARSAW – In lockstep with what new athletic director Matt Binkerd hoped to introduce when he was hired in the summer, Warsaw is creating a pair of new events to highlight not only its athletic department, but the athletes and adults that help make it go.

The athletic department announced Monday morning its intentions on hosting a ‘Warsaw Signing Day’ on Thursday, Dec. 19, at Warsaw Community High School. Senior Tiger athletes will sign their letters at the same time from 7:45-8:30 a.m. at the school, giving both the public and the various athletes opportunities to congratulate these accomplishments at the same time, rather than periodically throughout the school year.

Warsaw is also planning the first running of the Warsaw Athletic Dinner and Auction. The event, which will take place in the Heritage Room at the high school, is set for Feb. 27, 2020. Further details on the event will come at a later date, the school preferring to just offer the ‘save the date’ in the interim.

For more information on either of the events, please contact the WCHS athletic office at (574) 267-3162.
