On a gorgeous Friday night...a night where the Warsaw Tiger seniors were honored, the Homestead Spartans dominated the hometown Tigers 52-3. After an early Warsaw fumble, Homestead's Greyson Bastin rumbled in from 7 yards out and Homestead led 7-0.

The Tigers fought back. Brock Anson returned the ensuing kickoff 45 yards to give the Tigers excellent field position. The Tigers clawed their way down the field and Scott Smyth drilled a 35 yard field goal to narrow the score to 7-3. That was the "highlight of the night" from the Warsaw side.

Greyson Bastin returned Warsaws kickoff from his own goal line...92 yards...to the Warsaw 8 yard line. The valiant effort of the Tiger kicker Smyth cannot go without getting mentioned. Bastin looked like he had a clear path to the endzone but Smyth would have none of it and chased Bastin down at the 8 yard line. The Spartans scored on the next play. Actually, the Spartans scored 38 points in the first half and led 38-3 at halftime.

The Spartans scored twice in the third quarter and led 52-3 entering the fourth. Both teams emptied their benches and the fourth quarter was scoreless. Final score...Homestead 52-Warsaw 3.
