On a HOT Saturday morning, when Warsaw football was looking for its program's first win at any level, the Tiger JV football team headed up to play its US 30-rival...the Plymouth Pilgrims at the Rock Pile.

It was evident that from the start Warsaw had Plymouth pinned early. The Tigers came out and couldn't stop the running attack of #48 Tim Perkey and #26 Tanner Balazs. Warsaw pounded the football through the Plymouth defense. Inside or outside....everything was clicking. Perkey picked up two touchdowns and Balazs got one as well before the first quarter had come to an end!

Chad Goon also used his speed to get to the edge on a trickey play call...an Iso-right fake reverse. Goon got to the edge and never looked back as he took it 70 yards for the touchdown.

As the offense was stellar throughout the first quarter and the entire game, the Tiger defense came out and shut down the Rockies all morning. The defense was led by Zach Davies, Kyle Heckaman, and Caleb Heckamen. As the game progressed the same storyline would apply as Warsaw continued to run Plymouth into the ground on offense.

The Tiger defense stayed strong throughout holding Plymouth to a BIG GOOSE EGG! The final score was 34-0 and was obviously not that close.

The JV football team will be in action next Saturday, September 10 as they take on NLC-foe Elkhart Memorial at the Tiger Athletic Complex. Game time is 10:00 am.

The Tigers hope to continue their winning ways!
