Freshman Football Team Defeats NorthWood

The Warsaw Tigers football programs have demonstrated a flare for the dramatics this season when playing NorthWood at home. After last Friday's varsity victory on the game's last play from scrimmage, the freshmen football team - on the foot of Brigham Davis - once again captured a thriller that went down to the wire with the Tigers capturing a 16-14 victory.
Warsaw found itself trailing 14-7 at half, but a 35-yard touchdown run by Ethan Bradley pulled the Tigers within a point, but the extra point failed. With four minutes remaining, the Tigers took over on their own 35 yard line and marched to the NorthWood seven. With just 10-seconds remaining, Davis nailed a 22-yard field goal to lift the Tigers to the victory.
In the first half, Justin Gray scored on a 45 yard pass and run combo from quarterback Jonathan Murphy. Warsaw, now 4-4 and 4-2 against NorthernLakes Conference teams, close out their season on Tuesday at Concord.
