On a gorgeous night, the Lady Tigers added another championship to their season total by taking their 6th straight Sectional title in impressive fashion. With the goal of advancing as many individuals and relays to next week's Regional meet, Warsaw qualified all three relays and 15 individuals enroute to a 73 point victory. Warsaw totaled 160 points, followed by Northridge (87), Fairfield (79), Elkhart Memorial (68.5), Goshen (57), Concord (53.5), Elkhart Central (48), Wawasee (28), NorthWood (24), Jimtown (11), Elkhart Christian Academy (8). The Warsaw Lady Tigers wrapped up another perfect dual meet with two wins Tuesday night in Elkhart as they beat the host Lady Chargers, 96-36, and Concord, 103-28. On a blustery and cold day in Kokomo, the Lady Tigers brought a bit of sunshine with them to the meet. At the 88th Kokomo Relays, first-place Warsaw literally ran away from the field in winning all six relays, winning two indiviual events, and setting two meet and one school record along the way. The Lady Tigers celebrated Senior Night with a resounding win over visiting Goshen by a score of 83-49. For the first time since 2008, the Warsaw Lady Tigers claimed the top spot in the large school division with a 32 point victory over 11 other teams, including 6th ranked Westview, by scoring 117.5 points. Five Lady Tigers participated in Saturday's IHSAA Girls State Championships in Bloomington. The 4 X 800 meter relay team of Brooke Kline, Hannah Cutshall, Anna Bearss, and Ashley Erba finished 15th in a time of 9:37.75. Erba also ran the 1600 meters, finishing 20th in a time of 5:24.76.
