<![CDATA[MEET STEPHEN PRATER!]]> http://tigersportsnation.com/football/article/meet-stephen-prater Stephen Prater is a 4 year letterman. What that means in layman's terms is that this kid came out of middle school and proceeded to earn a varsity letter as a freshman. If that was not enough, Stephen Prater earned a varsity letter as a freshman in 3 different sports! Fast forward to his senior year and when the dust settles, Stephen Prater will walk out of Warsaw Community High School with 12 VARSITY LETTERS! This is not a typo. 12 VARSITY LETTERS! Read More »

<![CDATA[CARROLL CRUSHES TIGERS]]> http://tigersportsnation.com/football/article/carroll-crushes-tigers A few weeks ago when the IHSAA selection committee guy reached in and grabbed the ping-pong balls to select the Sectional 2 teams, you could almost hear the jubilation coming out of Phil Jensen's office. The Tigers drew the Fort Wayne Carroll Chargers. The Chargers, 6-3 entering Sectional 2, looked like a team Warsaw could handle ... on paper. Unfortunately, football is played on the field, not a piece of paper. The other two teams in the bracket, Goshen and Laporte entered the playoffs with losing records. Again, on paper it looked good for the Tigers. Again, the game is played on the field. Read More »

<![CDATA[CONCORD TOO MUCH]]> http://tigersportsnation.com/football/article/concord-too-much Playing without "all everything" Zach Rooney who was injured last week against Northwood, Phil Jensen knew that his defense would have to play their best game of the year. The defense, ball control, and field position were going to be the recipe for success against a powerful Concord team. Along the way, the Tigers were going to have to make some plays on offense. A valiant effort by an undermanned Warsaw team fell short and Concord wore out the Mighty Tigers en route to a 28-6 victory. A victory that earned the Minutemen their second straight NLC championship. Read More »

<![CDATA[HOMESTEAD TOO MUCH FOR TIGERS]]> http://tigersportsnation.com/football/article/homestead-too-much-for-tigers Some things change. Others, well, remain the same.

Last year, the Homestead Spartans invaded Fisher Field and handed the Warsaw Tiger football team a 52-3 spanking. This year, the Tigers had to travel down US 30, weave their way back to the field turf at Homestead and take a 51-7 beating.
