Lady Tiger XC Breaks Northridge's Streak
Lady Tigers broke "THE STREAK!" Tuesday night at OxBow Park in Goshen. For 20 years (1991-2010), the Northridge Lady Raiders have dominated the Sectional Championships while setting an Indiana record for girls XC with 20 straight Sectional titles. In 2009, Warsaw tied Northridge, only to lose on a 6th runner tie-breaker. In 2010, Northridge escaped with a 4 point win. Finally, the tables turned as the Lady Tigers put four girls in the top 8 finishers en route a 32-52 victory; this is only the second time in school history that Warsaw has won a team Sectional (1st one: 1985).
Leading the Lady Tigers were: Ashley Erba (1st- 18:25), Anna Bearss (2nd- 19:13), Brooke Kline (5th- 19:55), Kristin Quick (8th- 20:14), Creigh Ogle (16th- 20:55), Lilly Fleming (28th- 21:53), and Ellie Bearss (48th- 23:17).
