On a very warm September afternoon, the Warsaw Lady Tigers opened their NLC dual meet season with two wins over Elkhart Memorial (W: 24, EM: 31) and Concord (W: 15, C: 48). The Lady Tigers showed great pacing in the heat and outran the competition in the final mile of the race to retain the NLC travelling trophy.

Leading Warsaw's Varsity squad was Ashley Erba in a new course record time of 17:38, followed by Sarah Ray (3rd), Hannah Dawson (5th), Emma Hayward (6th) and Madeline Hooks (9th). Rounding out the top 7 was Hannah Thompson who broke into the top 7 finishers for the Lady Tigers for the first time by placing 13th overall; she was followed closely by teammate Tennie Worrell (14th).<br>

Next up for Warsaw is the Northrop Invite on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 9:40am and then their final home meet of the year (SENIOR NIGHT!) on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 5:30pm at Miller Field. This will be the last chance to watch the team at home and cheer on the 10th-ranked team in the state as they face NLC foes Plymouth and Goshen.
