On a gorgeous day in Terre Haute at the LaVern Gibson Cross Counrty course, the Lady Tigers completed the best season in school history with an individual championship and 11th place team finish, just 44 points away from a "Top 5 Podium finish". Ashley Erba ran away from the rest of the pack heading towards the 4K mark and never let up to finish in a State Record time of 18:05.6, breaking the previous record by 9 seconds (Sarah Higgins- Center grove 2008). She finished 14 seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher, Sarah Bennett from Carmel. Erba became the first Warsaw girl to win the state meet and the first Tiger runner to win since Max Truex in 1953.

Sophomore Anna Bearss improved from her last year's state performance by finishing 23rd in a time of 18:56, earning her All-State honors.
