ERBA SHATTERS HER OWN RECORD, TIGERS PLACE 3rd AT BARON CLASSIC

On an unexpectedly warm Saturday morning, the Lady Tigers finished with their highest finish ever at the Baron Classic with a 3rd place finish. Carroll won the invitational with 35 points, followed by Northridge (81 pts) and then Warsaw with 96 pts.

Leading the way for Warsaw was Ashley Erba in a new course record time of 18:12, breaking her record set in 2011 by 42 seconds. Ashley has won the DeKalb Baron Classic four years in a row and now has 4 of the 5 fastest times recorded on the course. Other Top 30 finishers/trophy winners were senior Sarah Ray (9th) and Madeline Hooks (26th). On the day, Warsaw had 9 Personal Records (PR) and 2 Season Bests (SB).<br>

Next up for the Lady Tigers is their own Tiger Classic Invitational held on Tuesday, August 28 with the girls' race starting at 5:15p and the boys' race at 5:45p. The event will be held at Miller Field on the Grace College campus and there is no entry fee to see some of the finest cross country teams and individuals in all of Indiana.<br>
