On a crisp and clear day at Oxbow Park in Goshen, the Warsaw Lady Tigers wrapped up the NLC season in a convincing manner by not only winning the Varsity race as a team, but also the Reserve race. Setting a new course record, Ashley Erba won the Varsity event in 18:09 followed by Anna Bearss (2nd- 18:36), Brooke Kline (7th- 19:40), Kristin Quick (10th- 20:05), Creigh Ogle (14th- 20:43), Lilly Fleming (23rd- 21:06) and Madeline Hooks (26th- 21:11). Warsaw finished 9 points better than perennial powerhouse, Northridge, in a final score of 34-43 (full results below). Erba, Bearss, Kline, and Quick were all named to the NLC All-Conference team while Ogle was named Honorable Mention. Coach Erba was named NLC Coach-of-the-Year.

In the Reserve race, Ellie Bearss set the pace in a winning time of 21:04, followed closely by teammates Kendra paton (2nd- 21:14), Michelle Feng (5th- 21:40), Emily Stouder (8th- 21:58), Courtney Etchison (9th- 22:15), Connor Steffe (14th- 22:38), and Alexis Himes (15th- 22:43). Warsaw won with a score of 25 over Northridge's 38 (full results below).

The lady Tigers set 10 new personal best times and one season best on the day. This win marks the first outright NLC title for Warsaw since 2000 as they shared the title with Northridge in 2009. Next up for the Lady Tigers is the Elkhart Central Sectional to be held Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Oxbow Park starting at 5:00p.
