Boy's XC Advances to Semi-State

GOSHEN - Warsaw, running without its number 2 runner, Ellis Coon, came through with its strong depth to finish third in the Elkhart cross country regional Saturday at Oxbow, advancing to the Semi-State next week at the Plex in Fort Wayne.
No. 5 ranked Mishawaka captured the team title, followed by St. Joseph's.
The Tigers were once again led by junior Jacob Poyner. Poyner raced to a 3rd place finish in 16:12. Robert Murphy (13th 16:40), Ismael Calderon (18th 16:58), Michael Smolen (19th 16:58) Michael Compton (30th 17:10) Brysten James (37th 17:18) and Cam Hoskins (41st 17:28) rounded out the Tiger attack.
