GOSHEN – Mishawaka made quite an impression in its first season in the Northern Lakes Conference. It’s 6-1 mark in the round robin matched Warsaw as the two sit as co-champs in the NLC for the 2020-21 season.

Both coaches, Ron Hecklinski at Mishawaka and Matt Moore at Warsaw, were named Co-Coaches of the Year by their peers. Moore oversaw Jaxon Gould and Judah Simfukwe as All-NLC and Jackson Dawson as Honorable Mention. Hecklinski had Trent Johnson as All-NLC and DaVonn Parker as Honorable Mention.

Northridge had Sam Smith and Carter Stoltzfus as All-NLC and Clay Stoltzfus as Honorable Mention.

NorthWood’s Cade Brenner and Ian Raasch, Wawasee’s Keaton Dukes, Concord’s Payton Fish and Zaven Koltookian, and Goshen’s Deecon Hill and Drew Hogan were all named All-NLC.

Honorable Mentions also went to Goshen’s Quinn Bechtel, NorthWood’s Ben Vincent and Plymouth’s Easton Strain.

Final conference standings were Mishawaka and Warsaw at 6-1, followed by Northridge (5-2), Concord (4-3), NorthWood and Goshen (3-4), Wawasee (1-6) and Plymouth (0-7).
