Fresh off his 100th win as the Varsity Basketball Coach, Doug Ogle sat in on this game Monday night to oversee the future of Tiger basketball. This game was a little more energetic and exciting than the Saturday varsity contest against the struggling Vikings from Huntington North.

Mishawaka opened the game with a passing offense designed to patiently work the ball around for before finding an open... and I mean wide open.... teammate under the basket. Mishawaka, however, when would employ a full court press after a made basket in an attempt to speed up the Tigers into turnovers. Action began to heat up with a few steals and breakaway lay-ups. Both teams began to show some scrappiness.

The real highlight came when Warsaw's Shay Hepler hit a running half court shot with about 0.4 seconds in the half to put the Tigers up 13-7.

Mishawaka adjusted their plan of offense for the 3rd quarter to try to catch the Tigers. Warsaw simply had too much firepower. Led by the inside attach of Taylor Cone and John Swanson, the Tigers would begin to pull away. Warsaw led 22-16 at the end of the 3rd period.

Despite all efforts, the Cavemen could not muster any offense against Coach Jeff Grose's stifling defense. Offensively, Warsaw used a 3-point bomb from Tim Ahlersmeyer and clutch free throw shooting by Cone to put the game away for good.

Final Score: Warsaw 34 - Mishawaka 17

Complete Scoring for the Tigers:

Taylor Cone - 10, Tim Ahlersmeyer - 9, Shay Hepler - 7, John Swanson - 4, Mitchell Hall -3, Jared Bloom -1
