Tiger Boys Too Much for Warriors!
WARSAW - The Warsaw Tigers boys basketball team picked up an impressive 72-52 Northern Lakes Conference victory over visiting Wawasee on Friday night. The Warriors entered unbeaten through five games. The Tigers move to 5-1 overall. It was the NLC opener for both.
Lucas Grose led the Tigers with 22 points, and Jordan Coon added 15 points, including a barrage early in the contest that helped Warsaw pull out to a comfortable first half lead. Jared Bloom and Kevin West added 10 points apiece, and Jordan Stookey had five assists while Taylor Cone had 5 rebounds.
In the JV game, Wawasee captured a 42-37 win. John Swanson had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Jason Ferguson had 11 points and five rebounds for the Tigers.
