REDHAWKS, TIGERS LEAD ALL-NLC GIRLS HOOPS AWARDS

GOSHEN – For the first time in league history, Goshen took the reigns and stood tallest at Northern Lakes Conference girls basketball champions.
The RedHawks went 7-0 in the aggregate, it’s first-ever outright title and first time since 1987 Goshen had even had a piece of the pie. Coach of the Year Shaun Hill’s squad had Brynn Shoup-Hill, Megan Gallagher and Tyra Marcum as All-NLC and Tori Eldridge as Honorable Mention.
Warsaw was 6-1 and had a trio of All-NLC honorees in Abby Sanner, Kensie Ryman and Kacilyn Krebs along with Honorable Mention Audrey Grimm.
The remainder of the All-NLC First Team included Concord’s (1-6) Kendal Swartout, NorthWood’s (1-6) Alea Minnich, Plymouth’s (4-3) Lindsay Janus, Wawasee’s (3-4) Kennedy White and Northridge’s (5-2) Jaci Walker, Julia Mantyla and Eva Fisher.
Honorable Mentions also went to NorthWood’s Kendal Miller, Mishawaka’s (1-6) Asiah Shaffer, Northridge’s Makena Knepp and Plymouth’s Taylor Delp.
