LADY TIGERS MAKE SENIOR NIGHT SPECIAL! WARSAW BEATS NORTHWOOD, 50-39
Senior night featured three Warsaw seniors in action for the final regular-season game at the Tiger Den on Saturday, and the seniors - Lauren Burish, Madison Davis, and Sarah Heagy - ensured it was a memorable night of basketball.
The Tigers smothering defense and steady attack carried Warsaw to a 50-39 victory over visiting NorthWood in a Northern Lakes Conference matchup.
Lindsay Baker led all scorers with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals. Jennifer Walker-Crawford fired in 10 points, had six rebounds and two steals and two assists. Burish scored nine points and had three assists. Heagy added 7 points and had three steals, while Madison Davis had two points and three rebounds.
The Tigers improved to 15-4 overall and closed the NLC season with a 5-2 mark for second place.
The NorthWood JV captured a 29-26 victory over the Tigers. Gabby Monroy led Warsaw with seven points and eight rebounds, Jackie Ferguson had five points and four steals, and Vicki Harris had five points for the Tigers.
