Lady Tigers Fall to Fort Wayne Luers
FORT WAYNE - The Warsaw Lady Tigers received a rude welcome from Fort Wayne Luers Tuesday night, dropping a 56-31 decision to the Knights.
Lindsay Backer had eight points and six rebounds, Luaren Burish had seven points and seven rebounds, Sarah Ray scored five points, and Sarah Heagy pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Tigers.
The loss drops the Tigers to 1-1. The Tigers will visit Tippecanoe Valley on Friday night.
In the JV matchup, Luers captured a 40-25 victory over the Tigers. The JV, led by Courtney Farling's 11 points and four rebounds, and Hannah Boal's seven points, falls to 0-2 heading into Friday's matchup at Tippey Valley.
