The Warsaw Lady Tigers completed their regular season Thursday night in South Bend. They made the 50 mile trip to take on the Riley Lady Wildcats who are not having a good season. The Lady Wildcats entered the contest with a dismal 3-18 record. Not only that, but their average loss had been by more than 24 points per game.

Warsaw came into the game headed in a different direction -- upward! The Lady Tigers completed their victorious NLC schedule with a title victory over Northwood last Saturday night. They then took care of a good FW Snider team Tuesday night to improve their overall record to 14-5.

This game was going to be one-sided from the tip.

Attendance was low in South Bend. It was a school/work night. Riley didn't have a good season. It was an hour drive. It's Prime Time TV night with CSI & Grey's Anatomy. In spite of all that, Warsaw's 60 parents and faithful following still outnumbered Riley's. Add in the Tiger cheerleaders and the none they had, and it was clearly a Tiger showing Thursday night.

The Lady Tigers exploited the young Wildcats early and often. The Warsaw starters were definitely going to get some much needed rest in this contest.

Riley has a "Scream-O-Meter." The only time it showed activity was when Amber Plummer took the floor and began to score. That was the loudest it got in the gym. Just to note: Amber played over 17 minutes compared to Lady Tiger leading scorer, Kelci Freds, who played just shy of 12 minutes. Amber Plummer ended the night with 4 points and 4 steals. Her twin sister Beth (See Photo Gallery) scored 5 points to go along with 3 steals.

Final score: Warsaw 57 - South Bend Riley 26

The Lady Tigers now turn their full attention and focus on Goal #2 -- A Section Title.
