WARSAW 62, COLUMBIA CITY 55
Warsaw ended Columbia City’s four-game win streak with a win on the road Tuesday night.
City had impressive wins over Fort Wayne Luers and Norwell in the past two weeks, but the Tigers used 13 points apiece from Brielle Harrison and Kaylee Patton. Warsaw had five players altogether score in double figures with Abby Sanner, Kacilyn Krebs and Kensie Ryman all hitting 10 points. Warsaw took the win despite trailing 40-39 in the fourth quarter.
Cora West and Hannah Hatfield both registered eight points in the Tigers’ 33-20 JV loss to the Eagles.
WAWASEE 45, BETHANY CHRISTIAN 40
Emily Haines had a big night for the Warriors in a non-conference win over the host Bruins at the Mennolands.
Haines scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds while Becca Smith had her first career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Kennedy White added four points, four assists and four steals for the Lady Warriors.
Bethany had Mariah Miller lead the team with 18 points. The Warriors did a job on Bruins star Sadie Brenneman, who was held without a field goal and just four points.
NORTHWOOD 30, BREMEN 22
Scoring was at a premium Tuesday night in Bremen as NorthWood earned a tough non-conference win.
The score was only 15-14 and Bremen led after three quarters, but NorthWood outdid itself in the fourth with a 16-point outburst. Kate Rulli and Maddy Payne scored six of their combined 16 points in the fourth, and the Panthers were 7-10 from the free throw line in the final eight minutes. Kendal Miller scored all five of her points in the fourth, and Alea Minnich added six points.
Ellia Foster led Bremen with nine points and Erin Coffel had seven points.
Bremen won the JV game 29-24.
