Girl's Freshman Basketball Comes Out on Top in Season Opener

HUNTINGTON - The freshmen Tigers overcame a 6-point halftime deficit with a strong second-half effort and emerged with a 32-24 victory over host Huntington North in their season opener on Saturday.

Warsaw's defense tightened up in the second half, holding the Vikings to just nine points after the break. Leading the way for the Tigers was Jodie Carlson with 14 points. Megan Kratzsch added eight points, and Erin Clemmens had five points for Warsaw.
