TIGER BASKETBALL CAMP ANNOUNCEMENT

This year's theme: True Grit

Our camp is skill driven. The teaching focuses are on basketball skills and life skills. The basketball skills include:

DribblingPassing
Ball HandlingIndividual Defense
Team DefenseRebounding
ShootingLay-ups
Spot ShootingOff the dribble
 On the move

5-on-5 league games will be played daily with a tournament capping off the week. Individual competitions, by grade, will be held to give the campers an opportunity to demonstrate their skills.

For our purose in TBC, "True Grit" is defined as unyielding courage, which is one of the most valuable character traits a person can possess. We believe that confidence and grit are closely linked. A young man, who has developed skill at something, like basketball, gains confidence. That confidence can and will seep into other roles he takes on and will give him the inner strength to demonstrate unyielding courage, "True Grit", when needed, which will be daily.
