Coach Mike Hepler's Tiger Baseball team looked to pick up their 2nd straight victory Monday night as they hosted the Wawasee Warriors. The Warriors came into this key NLC contest with an even 3-3 record. This was each team's first Northern Lakes Conference game.

Senior star Josh Witt took the mound for the Tigers. Jordan Schmitt started the game for Wawasee.

The visiting Warriors took an early 2-0 lead after the top of the first inning. The Tigers would respond with one in the home half of the first. Warsaw would score one run in each of the fourth and fifth innings to take a 3-2 lead.

Josh Witt settled down to finish the game without giving up another run. James Miglin provided the "pop" from the plate. Miglin drove a Warrior pitch deep over the fence for a Home Run. The Tiger catcher leads the team in home runs this season.

Warsaw would go on to score five more runs in the bottom of the sixth to take this NLC battle 8-2. The victory was the second consecutive "W" after beating Tippy Valley in extra innings last week.
