Tiger Baseball Dominates Central To Capture IHSAA Sectional Championship

IHSAA BASEBALL SECTIONAL - CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

WARSAW 7 - ELKHART CENTRAL 0

The Tigers captured their second IHSAA baseball sectional title since 2006 with the win over the Blazers in Elkhart. Josh Witt struck out 8 while limiting Central to just one hit. He also had three hits including a towering home run in the fifth inning as the Tigers blanked Central.

Aaron Christenberry also had two hits while James Miglin added a double.

Warsaw has won 7 of their last 8 games. Now 18-11, the Tigers will play the winner of SB Riley vs. Penn next Saturday in the Laporte Regional.

The first pitch is scheduled for 11:30 am. The championship game of the regional will be held at 7:30 pm.

Way to go Tigers!

IHSAA BASEBALL SECTIONAL - SEMIFINALS

WARSAW 11 - CONCORD 1

The Tigers moved into the championship game of the sectional with the win over the Minutemen on Saturday. Leading the offense for the Tigers was Joey Hickerson, Josh Witt, Brady Ousley, and Austin Moore each hitting a double. Winning on the mound was James Miglin who pitched 6 innings giving up 2 hits and striking out 7. The win brings the Tiger's record to 17-11. The Tigers will face Elkhart Central Monday.
